Kajol is NOT a part of Karan Johar’s Takht!

As we all know, Karan Johar and Kajol have always been close friends and it was only a few years back the duo had a fallout due to the box-office clash of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay. Starting from his directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol has starred in many of Karan’s movies, either as a lead or in a cameo.

Both gave their friendship a second chance and sorted out their differences. And as per some reports doing the rounds, Karan was all set to sign Kajol for a very special role in his upcoming period drama, the multi-starrer ‘Takht’.

But some sources denied the news and were quoted saying to a leading daily, “This is not true at all. Kajol is occupied with her film ‘Helicopter Eela’ and she has not signed up anything post that. All these are just mere rumors.” 

Well, it definitely seems like a publicity gimmick as neither Karan nor Kajol have given any official confirmation regarding it.

Coming back to Takht, the story is set in the Mughal Era and will have an ensemble cast of actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
