KAALA: More trouble for the Rajinikanth starrer

We reported a few days ago how Kaala, the new Rajinikanth film, has been banned in Karnataka due to the actor’s views on the Cauvery dispute. Now, more trouble has erupted for the makers, and especially Rajinikanth. A Mumbai-based journalist has sought an apology from the Thalaivaa, failing which; he would be sued for Rs.101 crores for damages.

Actually, the journalist states that the film is based on the life of his father, and he believes he has been portrayed in a bad light. He states that the story indeed revolves around his father, who came to Dharavi, Mumbai from Tuticorin in 1957. He was fondly known as the Gudwala Seth as he was a major dealer of sugar and jaggery. The journo also believes the makers have made the film for political reasons. He has demanded an apology from Rajinikanth within 36 hours.

Will the makers respond to his allegations? Will Rajinikanth apologize? Let’s see. The film is scheduled for a June 7 release.
