Kaala box-office: Super opening in Tamil Nadu, lukewarm elsewhere
Kaala starring the legendary actor Rajinikanth released yesterday and the movie had already created a lot of buzz as it would see Rajinikanth going head to head with Nana Patekar.
Interestingly this is the first time that a Rajinikanth movie has ever got the lowest occupancy but still, the movie has managed to collect a huge amount of Rs 15 crore on its 1st day according to trade Sreedhar Pillai on his twitter these are the official figures.

Sreedhar Pillai also reports Kaala’s performance has been below average in other markets. In regions of Andhra and Telangana, the film has opened below average and is reported to have grossed around Rs 6.5 cr on day one.
