JUDGEMENT DAY: Padmavati to be discussed in the PARLIAMENT!
Since the day the cameras have started filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, the National Award-winning director has been harassed, slapped and (baselessly) criticised for allegedly distorting history. Multiple times over the past year or so, the makers have released one official statement after the other stating that it is NOT AT ALL the case, but looks like we live in a country where fringe groups turn deaf when clarifications are being given.
But now, every group, whether deaf or not, will have to hear. Since now, a panel, which will include the director and the CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi is about to be set up to discuss the film, and get a clearer view of what the fuss is all about.
As per sources, the panel will also include officials from the I&B ministry and will also have Paresh Rawal and Raj Babbar as a part of the discussion.
Sources say that the officials have invited Bhansali for the same but is currently shying away from being present in front of the panel on November 30th which is tomorrow.
Now, will this be it? Will this end all the farce that the film has been the centre of since the very beginning? Our eyes will clearly be on a lookout for the judgement tomorrow!
