Was Jiah Khan’s death staged?

Everyone remembers Jiah Khan, the actress on whom the audience went lattoo over. The fraternity and the nation as a whole was taken by storm on the night of June 3, 2013, when she was found dead in her humble abode at Sagar Sangeet Apartments in the posh Juhu suburb.

Amongst a seemingly flourishing career, Khan had left behind a note, pinpointing at her boyfriend at the time, Sooraj Pancholi, who is the son of veteran actor Aditya Pancholi.

In order to avenge the death of her daughter, Rabia Khan, a British national, sought the formation of a special investigation team (SIT), since she firmly believes that her death was staged and there is a good possibility of the incident being a homicide.

But, her claim was initially dismissed as the court stuck to their version of the incident, where the verdict turned out to be that the incident is a case of suicide.A council comprising of Justice Ranjit More and Justice Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi went no further with the matter, as the case was already handed over from Mumbai police to the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI). Sooraj was put behind bars on the basis of the letter left behind but was soon granted bail.

But the documents and evidence submitted by Rabia Khan are the ones which raise some serious questions and demands a fresh set of eyes on the matter. Her documents included pictures of the body of her deceased daughter, an autopsy report and an another report formed by British forensic experts, which stated the nature of the injuries on the victim’s body suggested the possibility of a homicide.
