Is Ranbir Kapoor no longer a part of Luv Ranjan’s film with Ajay Devgn?

Ranbir Kapoor was all set to star in Luv Ranjan’s next film, also starring Ajay Devgn. There were rumors that he was to be paired opposite Deepika Padukone once again and Nushrat Bharucha was also said to play a crucial role. However, reports now suggest that the actor may back out of this comedy. The plot revolved around Devgn, who was rumored to play Kapoor’s father. Alas, the makers may have to find a new son for him.

Now, you all may be wondering what compelled RK to detach himself from the film after signing the dotted lines! Well, a source has revealed the reason. “Ranbir has been offered another big film from a huge banner and he has loved the idea. The dates are again clashing with Luv’s film. RK also has been a little confused about this film ever since the announcement. He has been looking out for a way to get out of it.” 

The source also added, “If all goes by what it is now, Ranbir won’t do the film anymore. The team is trying to still convince him but he and his managers are currently not ready to budge much.”

Oops! Hope the news is not true and we can see Ranbir and Ajay again on the big screen.

The film is slated to release on Christmas 2020.
