Is Bunty Aur Babli 2 finally HAPPENING!?

One of Soorma director Shaad Ali’s most loved pieces of work, namely the Rani Mukerji & Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Bunty Aur Babli is a film that we can still keep watching on loop. It could be said that the crime-comedy flick was truly a very unique concept, and the fact that it was a major success at the box office bears testimony to the fact that above all, content does prevail.

But now, we hear that a sequel to this much-loved flick is definitely on the cards and this time around, the head honcho of YRF, the elusive Aditya Chopra, who himself is a big fan on the film, is personally looking into it.

Speaking about the same, a source was quoted online saying that, “Bunty Aur Babli’ sequel has been on cards for quite some time now. But it was only recently that the things were taken forward. Aditya Chopra himself is looking into this and the pre-production work has already started. Both Rani and Abhishek are more than keen to do this project and have given their nod for it. However, it won’t be directed by Shaad. Who is helming this sequel is still not revealed. But the plot has been finalized and the shooting schedule is being planned. If everything works out well, then the movie will tentatively go on-floors in November, this year.”

Well, we certainly hope that we will get to see the original Bunty Aur Babli reprising their roles, or at least have a cameo in the same, if YRF is planning to cast a different pair altogether this time.
