Is Akshay Kumar all set to star in Rowdy Rathore 2?

Rowdy Rathore, which is the second highest grossing film of Akshay Kumar, was one of the biggest hits of 2012. Directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film brought back the genre of masala action and desi storytelling of the 80’s and 90’s and was a runaway hit among the masses. Now, if reports are to be believed, Akshay Kumar is all set to return in his action avatar with Rowdy Rathore 2.

Talking about the sequel, Shabina Khan, who co-produced the film, said, “It is ready. The writing took some time from Mr Vijayendra Prasad. Now we are ready. Mr Bhansali and I co-produce. I am just waiting for him to approve the script and then we will move on.”

After directing one historical saga after another, it shall be both refreshing and exciting to see the maverick filmmaker delve into the space of over-the-top, hard-core action again, of course, with spurts of comedy as well.

As far as Akshay Kumar is concerned, the actor is all set to star in Gold, Kesari, Housefull 4 and 2.0.
