IMPPA bans Pakistani artistes in India
It all started with Uri attacks when 18 soldiers in the valley were killed in the terror attack. As a result what we had was an enraged Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) giving out an ultimatum to Pakistani actors to leave the country in the next 48 hours failing which they would be ‘beaten up’.
In what might come as a surprise the latest update is that Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has passed a resolution banning Pakistani actors and technicians in India till the issues between the two countries are sorted to normalcy.
However, an online news portal reported that the said resolution didn’t ban the release of Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’. Both these movies star Pakistani actors, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan respectively.
