I’m relieved that the truth is coming out: Kamya Punjabi

What has come out from the transcripts of late actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s last phone call, fails to shock her dear buddy Kamya Punjabi, who, on the contrary is ‘relieved that the truth is coming out’.

The recently revealed transcripts have exposed shocking details about the deceased actress, hinting that someone tried to force her into flesh trade. The transcripts further disclose that Pratyusha was in a disturbed state of mind before her death and was determined to end her life. The actress who was close to Pratyusha, claims that she knew these facts from a long time and hence these don’t surprise her now. “This is nothing new for me. These are the things I have been saying and screaming about since day one. Police took so long to prove that. I am the witness and there are a lot of other people who have given statement earlier… I am not shocked. I am little relieved that the truth is coming out,” said Kamya.

While Kamya wants her deceased friend to get justice, she also took a dig at Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, who has been charged for abetting her suicide and is currently out on bail. “I hope and pray that police take appropriate action so that henceforth, no boyfriend would try to take advantage of his girlfriend,” the actress said.

Pratyusha Banerjee was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai’s Goregaon, on 1st April this year.
