Here’s why THIS actress is grateful to Ekta Kapoor!

Ekta Kapoor is the undisputed queen of the Indian soap opera scene and in the process of making a mark for her own, it would be safe to say that she has made and perhaps even revived many careers during the course of her own career that spans over two decades.

One such example is perhaps Dalljiet Kaur, who will be seen next as Karuna, the sister to Karishma Tanna’s character in the upcoming show Qayamat Ki Raat.

Speaking about how Dalljiet landed the part and how she got back in shape for the same, she shared, “Oh, it took lots and lots of hard work. I won’t shy away from saying that. It’s only because of that I look the way I look today. As an actor, we need to keep pace with your contemporaries. I got this role as Ekta Ma’am thought I could be the cute peppy girl,”

While speaking about her good fortune of having multiple BFs in the industry and how grateful she is to the Balaji head honcho for seeing her as a befitting candidate for the part, she shared,  “I have so many friends whom I can call up and ask for some advice. If Barun does not pick up the call, Pashmeen (Barun’s wife) will or Sanaya. My list of friends is endless. When I was restarting, mujhme ek zid thi, aur ek umeed thi (I have adamant and hopeful) to do a good job. I love acting. Being a mom should not stop anyone. I am happy that Ekta saw me as a cute romantic character,”
