Here’s how Akshay Kumar’s Gold is all set to BEAT Race 3 & Bajrangi Bhaijaan!

Excel Entertainment’s Gold has taken a massive head start this Independence Day and is all set to emerge as Akshay Kumar‘s highest opening day ever.

The early response to the film has been phenomenal, with Gold witnessing a strong run in major mass centers.

The film is being touted by far as the highest for an Akshay Kumar-starrer as if the occupancy numbers are to go by, the biographical sports drama is all set to surpass the opening numbers of previous Akshay Kumar outings such as Housefull 3, Rustom & Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

Early estimates suggest that Gold will become the 11th all-time highest opening day, so, one can expect the opening numbers to be anywhere around 30 crores or so, which means that the sports drama will most likely collect a greater number on its first day than what the makers of the Salman Khan-starrers such as Race 3 (28.50 crores) & Bajrangi Bhaijaan (27.25 crores) did after the end of their first day at the cinema screens.

The film is experiencing a strong trend in Delhi / UP, East Punjab, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Patna where it is far ahead of other Independence Day releases.

In centres like CP Berar, Nizam / Andhra, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Bokaro, Ratlam and Sangli, Gold is recording a healthy trend at the cash counters.

The high on content film which released on the Independence Day weekend has been receiving accolades from film critics and audience alike.

Owing to the exceptional word of mouth and power packed performances by Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal and Vineet Kumar Singh.

Hitting the right notes, the first collaboration between producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar with Akshay Kumar is witnessing a successful run at the box office.

With such a superior trend, Reema Kagti directorial Gold is all set to become Akshay Kumar’s highest Independence day opener.

What kind of figure are you expecting to team Gold to post at the end of its theatrical run? Let us know!
