Harry from Jab Harry Met Sejal, Shah Rukh Khan, a proud father of three proud kids, is actually quite the dad we all hope for. He shares that he has a very bro-like equation with his eldest son Aryan. When he is not in his workaholic mode such as while then shooting for JHMS or the untitled Aanand L Rai dwarf film currently, he pulls up a pair of shorts and chills with Aaryan whenever he gets the time.
What’s more surprising is that the man who needs two people to complete a cuss word on screen (Happy New Year, for instance) discusses nothing but the latest cuss words they have learnt and their different iterations.
In a recent interview, he said “When I am with Aryan sometimes, we just lay down in our shorts without our shirts and we crack some dirty jokes. He gets really excited telling me about gaalis he’s learnt. I’m from Delhi and I’ve also been that age and my vocabulary of Hindi gaalis is fantastic (smiles). So when he tells me one, I tell him that I’ll teach him another version of it.”
Adding to this, the superstar also spoke about how his family doesn’t take his stardom too seriously and at the same time, he receives a VERY important piece of advice from Aryan by saying “My kids joke about me being a star (in a nice way). If they see me telling my team that, `Guys, this has to be done by 9 pm!’ suddenly, Aryan will say…`Ohh…S..R..K!’ They know that I don’t take stardom seriously, so they can make fun of it. They don’t say it, but I know that my family is bothered about my future. Like Aryan says, `You have to be a big star baba because AbRam should not be bereft of it. He is so young and he has not seen your stardom yet, we have seen it’. He tells me that I should work hard and AbRam should have the same upbringing that they had. He says, `You have to work harder, as you doing all this isn’t the same as me doing well, or mama doing something well or Suhana doing well. It’s not the same when baba does something well. So, you have to look healthy and strong.’ That is really sweet. So, I think that my family is attached to my stardom, but we are not sold out to it. I believe that when you are a superstar, you have to let people listen to your heartbeat. You are not supposed to tell them… `Aye, yeh karo, woh karo’.They will give you the best things in life if they believe that you are a superstar. If ONLY you believe that you are a star, you have to scream it out aloud. It has been long since I actually screamed, so I must have been a star for many years (smiles!).”
Oh, isn’t that very sweet and wise of the young Khan? Like father like son, we guess!
