Hema Malini SURPRISES Deepika Padukone with a heartfelt message!

Quite recently, Deepika Padukone was at an event in which she launched the legendary Hema Malini’s biography. Post the launch, the evergreen dream girl took to the stage to shower all kinds of praises for the on-screen Rani Padmini.

As a token of appreciation, Hema Ji presented the very first copy of her biography to Deepika with a heartful handwritten message which reads, “The content of the book that you graciously launched take on an added meaning as I hand over the baton to you for the glorious contribution of artistic excellence”.

Expressing her gratitude towards the legendary actress, Deepika took to social media for sharing the cover page of the biography which showcased the handwritten message.

Earlier, Hema Malini had touted Deepika as the new age dream girl. Another interesting thing to note here is that Deepika’s very first role of Shantipriya in her debut film Om Shanti Om was actually inspired by Hema Malini herself!

These two ladies have become examples for their respective generations as both have single-handedly spearheaded big budget films.

While Deepika, as we know, is the one who will be holding together Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati, it was Hema Ji who took the load of Razia Sultan on her own shoulders back in 1983.

As of now, the talented actress is gearing up for her biggest release till date, Padmavati, for which she has been praised a million times already by fans and industry folk alike, to speak conservatively of it.
