HEARTBREAK ALERT: No Salman Khan or Ranveer Singh in Dhoom 4 yet

A lot of reports suggested Salman Khan & Ranveer Singh were signed for Dhoom 4. However, this news may break your heart but the truth is there’s no truth to this rumor. Neither Salman nor Ranveer have been approached for the fourth film of the franchise. A source said, “While Salman and Aditya have been discussing Dhoom 4 for over a year, the deal was finally locked last week post the release of Race 3. Adi plans to release Dhoom 4 in 2020. Vijay Krishna Acharya, who’s busy shooting Thugs of Hindostan, will direct the movie.” 

Alas, given Salman’s packed schedule and back-to-back films like Bharat, Dabangg 3, Sher Khan and Dancing Dad, it seems it’ll be difficult for the actor to give his nod for this action franchise. Ranveer Singh’s name also popped up for the film but those rumors have also been put to rest. A YRF spokesperson stated, “We have not even started thinking of a subject for Dhoom 4. Only once Vijay Acharya finishes shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan is when we will start thinking of how to go about the film. So there is no truth to any actor getting finalised for the film.”

Fans want Salman to star in Dhoom 4 but here’s the problem- The Dhoom franchise has always belonged to the antagonist, be it John Abraham in the first part or Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in the second and third respectively. Will Salman go grey for the first time? Hardly seems a possibility, given how his demands to make a clean and family film in the form of Race 3 backfired. Oh Salman, please don’t tarnish the essence of the Dhoom series if you sign on the dotted lines!
