Has Rajkummar Rao been finalized for Karan Johar’s Dostana 2?

Rajkummar Rao is on a career-high currently. He gave one exemplary performance after another in last year’s Trapped, Newton and Bareilly Ki Barfi, and this year with Omerta and the blockbuster Stree. Owing to his acting prowess and now the ability to pull-in the audiences, he may star in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2008 Dostana.

There have been talks for a very, very long time as to when the second part of the film will roll. Earlier, there were reports that the sequel will unite Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham and star Katrina Kaif as the female lead and will be based in Punjab. However, due to the lack of a bound script, the film was shelved.

However, Johar is keen to revive the comedy and bring on board Rao for the same. It’s still not clear whether Bachchan or Abraham will star too or not. Let’s wait for an official announcement by the makers soon!
