GOOD NEWS: Akshay Kumar says he’s doing Hera Pheri 3!

Akshay Kumar recently said in one of his interviews that he’s yet to be approached for Hera Pheri 3. After the cult of Hera Pheri and the commercial success of Phir Hera Pheri, which ended with a cliffhanger straight lifted from the British comedy, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, fans were desperately waiting for the third part. The late Neeraj Vora, who directed the second part was all set to helm the third film in the franchise as well, but with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. However, after his unfortunate demise, the project was left hanging in the balance.

We also reported a few months ago how Masti and Dhamaal’s director Indra Kumar was roped in and the trio of Akshay-Suniel-Paresh was all set to reunite. Well, you all can rejoice as Kumar has confirmed Hera Pheri 3. In one of his media interactions recently, the actor said, “Ek kisam ki filmein nahi, sirf social filmein nahi balki Housefull 4 kar raha hoon, Hera Pheri 3 bhi kar raha hoon. Toh aise bahut saari filmein hai. The movie will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year.”

Hopefully, the film should finally see the lights of the day!
