Flashback Friday: When Mahesh Bhatt saw a Sanjay Dutt in John Abraham!
Since his debut in 2003 alongside Bipasha Basu in Jism, Parmanu star John Abraham has come a long way. Throughout his 15-year-long career, Abraham has tested his skills as an artist by throwing himself into various genres, which has subsequently helped him grow into the one-of-a-kind superstar that he is today!
But, did you know that the man got his first break back in ’03 because of his resemblance to a younger version of Sanjay Dutt?
Yes, you read that right! During one of his most recent interviews, while discussing his life and career, Abraham recollected that when the casting process for Jism was underway, Abraham received a call by none other than Mahesh Bhatt himself, who wanted to have him on board since his physique and the vulnerability in his face reminded him of a younger Sanju Baba. Post which, the man became a part of team Jism and the rest, as they say, is history.
On the work front, Abraham’s next release, Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran has finally hit the screens today and has even reportedly wrapped up Nikkhil Advani’s Satyameva Jayate.
How about you compare the picture of the then-debutante Abraham and that of a younger Dutt and give us your take on it? Let us know!
