The first poster of Manto LITERALLY says a thousand words

Taran Adarsh took to twitter today to unveil the first poster of Manto, a film which is based on the eminent writer Saadat Hasan Manto. The movie features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rasika Dugal in lead roles and it is being directed by Nandita Das.

We see a disturbed Nawazuddin Siddiqui staring right in our faces through his image on what looks like a book cover. To add to the effect, a lot of text can be spotted all over the face of Siddiqui’s Manto, right from to Urdu to eminent newspaper names. This could be symbolic of all the newspapers that have written about him and his work which he has done in his career of nearly 2 decades.

Maybe this poster is Das’ way of saying that we have read his stories, but now it’s time to know HIS story!
