Farhan faces yet another fail!

The Lightbox Theatre was a space loved by everyone in B-Town, especially the A-listers! Many celebrities choose to have special premieres of their films in this space, with the most recent one being Aamir Khan’s box office blockbuster, Dangal featuring Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.

Launched by Farhan Akhtar and business partner Ritesh Sidhwani in 2012, The Lightbox Theatre was a hit among the celebs as it was their own private theatre, away from the crowd and ticket counters. But, now, shockingly, The Lightbox Theatre has lost its charm.

Why, you ask? The building has been deserted and quickly gathering dust with the entrance beginning to shatter. Such a quick meltdown for Farhan’s venture is apparently due to  financial crises, and a complicated one at that. Since this project wasn’t giving their founders, Ritesh and Farhan much profit, the theatre has now been shut down.

Farhan himself hasn’t been doing well in Bollywood after all the controversies around him and Shraddha as well as Rock On 2, failing at the box office.

We only hope that his plans for 2017 get him back on track!
