We know why Katrina refused to be Arjun Kapoor’s ‘Half Girlfriend’!

When Mohit Suri decided to make a film on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, ‘Half Girlfriend,’ his first choice was not Shraddha Kapoor but Katrina Kaif. A source close to the director says, “Mohit had his heart set on casting Katrina in this love story adapted from the Chetan Bhagat bestseller. But Katrina, who reportedly liked the script, recommended that he cast another actress because she felt her “screen age” could hurt the film”.

According to the same source, Kat has done most of her films with older actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan. So her screen age is perceived as older than her actual age as many people were not convinced for her pairing opposite Siddharth Malhotra in ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and Aditya Roy Kapoor in ‘Fitoor’. Apparently, Mohit was very impressed with the ‘Jagga Jasoos’ actress and promised to get back with a good script.

We wonder if Katrina noticed Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chemistry with Arjun Kapoor in ‘Ki & Ka’!
