Dobaara receives praises from the makers of Oculus!
Recently, director Prawaal Raman, the director of the upcoming Huma Qureshi–Saqib Saleem starrer Dobaara held a special screening of the movie for Mike Flanagan as a mark of respect. Flanagan is the director of the original film Oculus, of which Dobaara is an adaptation. Flanagan, who was very curious to see the end result, was not disappointed one bit.
In fact, he was quite overwhelmed with the end result and applauded the creative choices made by the director so that it could appeal to the Indianaudience.
He went on record to say “I just had a chance to see Dobaara and I thought it was fantastic! The cast is wonderful across the board. Prawaal did an amazing job in making this film. It’s been a real honor to be able to see it. I Hope Prawaal gets to adapt all my films. He can have all of them!”
Trevor Macy, the producer of Oculus added “I am thrilled to see the end result. It’s a real pleasure to see such great creative choices being made that enhanced it and made it accessible to a whole new audience.”
Judging from the response, it seems like Dobaara is indeed going to be that clutter breaking film that the lead actor, Saqib Saleem was hoping it to be.
Given the response that the film has received from the original makers, producer Ishan Saksena said “I am thrilled to see the response to Dobaara. Our intention has been to tell a unique story with production values of global standards for our Indian audience and it’s satisfying to see the world acknowledging it! Prawaal has really done an excellent job.”
Seems like Dobaara is all set to redefine the horror genre in India when it releases on June 2nd
