Did Typhoid come in between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone?
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were about to reunite tonight, for Manish Malhotra’s fashion show at Mijwan 2018. However, if sources are to be believed, the Barfi actor, Ranbir Kapoor, is down with typhoid and has been asked for a complete bed-rest by his doctors. Additionally, the actor has also been advised to put a break on his rigorous workouts in the gym, which may take a toll on his body.
An official statement regarding the event being cancelled has been released and it says:-
“We regret to inform you that the Mijwan Fashion Show scheduled in Mumbai at the Grand Hyatt on 9th April 2018 has been postponed by a week or so. Both our show stoppers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have taken ill and we are waiting for them to recover. We will inform you as soon as a new date is finalised. Apologies for the inconvenience caused and hope you will bear with us.”
As far as walking the ramp for the show is concerned, Ranbir said, “We, the young people of India, need to turn our attention towards rural India and focus on empowering the girl child. My sister Riddhima and I were raised as equals and I want every girl and boy to be treated equally. To my young friends, I say “Be the Change you wish to see in the world. You can do it and your time starts now.”
On the work-front, Ranbir will next be seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, which is touted for a 29th June, 2018 release, after which he’ll be seen in a superhero avatar for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra opposite Alia Bhatt, which is being made in three parts, out of which the first part will release on the 15th of August, 2019.
