Did Samantha Akkineni take a jibe at her ex?

Currently, Samantha Ruth Prabhu (Now Samantha Akkineni) is being showered with love from all across quarters for her performance in Mahanathi, a film also which features Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead parts. The film tells the life story of the legendary actress Savitri and her relationship with Gemini Ganeshan.

But, little did we know that Samantha probably had a close call with her own version of Gemini Ganeshan, if her recent statement to a Telegu daily is to be believed.

While drawing parallels between her life and that of the late legend, she made a shocking comment stating, “Even I would have fallen into such crisis in personal life like a Savitri. But thankfully I’ve realized it in the beginning and walked out of it. And then I’m blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya (Her long-term beau-turned-husband) in my life. He’s a gem of everything.”

THAT statement there took us a little back. We began wondering: Was she in any way referring to her ex-boyfriend, the Tamil actor Siddharth, who she dated for a little over two years? Reportedly, the reason behind the fallout was Siddharth’s lack of readiness to get married. Additionally, it was also reported that Siddharth was quite a possessive man when it came to the matters of her lady love.
