Kiara Advani is on a roll! She may have had a dull 2017, particularly after the debacle of Abbas-Mustan’s Machine, but had a fantastic 2018. Lust Stories, an anthropology, received rave reviews all over, especially her story of a lonely housewife, who yearns for sexual pleasure, which was directed by Karan Johar. The Dharma Scion has already signed her for as many as three films for 2019. She has a special song in Kalank, is one of the leading ladies in Good News, and is the main lead in the Vikram Batra biopic, with Sidharth Malhotra.
Not only that, she also has Kabir Singh coming up, which is a remake of the Telugu Blockbuster, Arjun Reddy. And when you have so many films lined-up, it becomes difficult to say YES to all the offers that come your way. And Advani has just turned down a film produced by her mentor, Karan Johar himself. This is a horror-comedy starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The actress was offered to play a part but she politely declined.
A source said, “It’s an extremely small part and moreover, the dates of the film are clashing with another project that Kiara has already committed to. So she couldn’t even accommodate it. They are now looking at another actress to step in for Kiara.” The film is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh.
