Salman Khan is known for his large heartedness and helping aspiring actors and artists. If we make a list, we could go on till tomorrow. But not only the newcomers, the actor has also helped established people when their careers have been done and dusted. And this especially after showing immense promise, one of them is Bobby Deol.
This younger son of veteran star Dharmendra made quite an impressive debut in the 1995 romantic drama, Barsaat. After the success of his first film, he went on to star in Gupt and Soldier and became one of the most promising actors to look forward to. Alas, destiny dealt a cruel hand and his career began to fumble and flutter after initial success. Both Dharmendra and his brother Sunny Deol tried to re-launch him with films like Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and Poster Boys, but all their efforts were in vain.
It was Salman Khan then, who took Bobby on board for Race 3 and this elated Dharmendra to no extent. The Sholay star said recently, “I’ve always seen many of my traits in Salman. He is like a younger version of me. Salman has been very close to me and my family. Now when Bobby is working with him I feel very happy. It’s like two of my three sons working together.”
Race 3 is all set for a 15th June release and we hope it helps in resurrecting Bobby Deol’s career.
