Deepika Padukone to turn producer for Meghna Gulzar’s next film?

Deepika Padukone, who was on a sabbatical post the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, will be reportedly collaborating with the ‘Raazi’ director Meghna Gulzar for her next venture. And as per the reports of a daily, Deepika met Meghna and they were in the process of finalizing a project.

The story of the movie will focus on the acid attack survivor Lakshmi who was attacked by a man when she refused his proposal. Now as per the latest reports, Deepika will also be co- producing the movie along with Meghna apart from acting in it.

Well, as Meghna’s last movie Raazi with Alia Bhatt was well appreciated by the critics as well as the audiences, let’s hope that she will create the same magic with Deepika.

Meanwhile, Deepika was reportedly said to begin the shooting of Vishal Bhardwaj’s film based on the mafia queen Sapna Didi, titled Rani, with actor Irrfan Khan, but the movie was postponed owning to the illness of the lead actor.
