Deepika Padukone OPENS UP on her engagement with Ranveer Singh!
During the New Years celebration that went by, when rumoured beaus Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh bid adieu to 207 in the Maldives, rumours had been rife that the two actually came back as an engaged couple.
But, let’s not forget that whenever you have two celebrities making public appearances as a couple, there have ALWAYS been speculations about the two tying the knot pretty soon.
And now, Deepika Padukone, who has FINALLY given a statement on all the news that has been making rounds about her alleged secret engagement, said, “I was not engaged.”
But, when Neha Dhupia, who brought up the question of the alleged engagement at the Vogue BFF’s show, asked Dippy to show her ring finger and spotted a tan on it, concluded that perhaps DP was indeed sporting an engagement ring at some point, if not at the vacation.
To this, Anisha, who was accompanying her sister Deepika on the talk show, reacted by saying, “She has been engaged successively for the last four years.” Last year too there were reports that Ranveer and Deepika had gotten engaged. Deepika had then said, “There’s no such plan ANYTIME soon. I’m not pregnant, I’m not having a baby, I’m not engaged and I’m not married. And I’m not even planning to get married anytime soon.”

While there may or may not be any truth to this, there are other reports that the alleged lovebirds have jointly invested in a posh bungalow in a fairly happening neighbourhood in Goa.
