CONFIRMED! Kaabil to have a Hollywood remake

Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer Kaabil became one of the most successful ventures of 2017. The movie received great appreciation from the critics as well as the audience. Apart from this, Kaabil has received another benchmark. The director of the film, Sanjay Gupta confirmed the news to a leading tabloid that the Hrithik Roshan starrer is soon going to have a Hollywood remake. Yes, you read that right – A Hollywood remake!

Talking to the daily, Gupta said, “It’s true that Fox, through Tomas Jegeus [president, Fox International Productions], has approached Hrithik. Even though the developments are too premature to talk about at this moment, it is an honour for the team. What is also exciting is that ‘Kaabil’ has been declared the best film of [the first half of] 2017 via an online poll. So, it’s a double win for us.”

Rakesh Roshan also expressed his happiness and said “The screenplay was hard-hitting, and the drama, gripping. It would make for a wonderful Hollywood adaptation, given that it has all the necessary emotions. It struck gold at the box-office because it was about a visually-impaired lover seeking revenge.”

Well, this is surely a BIG win for the whole Kaabil team, but what brings us to a question is – will Hrithik Roshan star in the Hollywood remake as well? We guess only time will tell!
