CONFIRMED: Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra to star in Aashiqui 3

The third instalment of the Aashiqui series is all set to go on the floors. After Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur took Aashiqui 2 to another level with their sparkling chemistry, the new film is planning to go a notch higher. This time the makers have finalised on rumoured couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra for Aashiqui 3.

A source close to a leading daily said “Sid has been meeting Mohit Suri who will be directing ‘Aashiqui 3’. The two of them have been discussing the script and finalising everything because they plan to go on floors as soon as Sid is done with ‘Aiyaary’”

The source further added “Alia is also busy shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s next but it’s a smaller film with a start-to-finish schedule. Once she wraps up Meghna’s film, she will have some time in her hand before she begins work on ‘Gully Boy’ in November. Mohit wants to shoot ‘Aashiqui 3’ in that time so they are planning to lock in on the script as soon as possible.”

After creating magic on the screen with their chemistry in movies like Student of the Year and Kapoor and Sons, this will be the third collaboration of Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra.
