Can Golmaal Again revive Parineeti Chopra’s dead Bollywood career?
There are many people in Bollywood who pursue engineering, banking and many other kinds of stuff but end up following their passion. One such person is Parineeti Chopra who holds a triple honours degree in Business, Finance, and Economics from Manchester Business School. But it was during the recession Period in 2009 when Parineeti took a decision of returning back and joined Yash Raj Films studio.
She made her debut in 2011 with a supporting character in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. She played a bubbly Delhi-based girl in the film and her act was the most appreciated one in the film. She even received the best debutant award by Filmfare Awards. After that in 2012, she played the lead in Habib Faisal’s romantic drama Ishaqzaade. She essayed the role Zoya Qureshi which was way different from her first film. Parineeti even received a National Film Award – Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards and received first nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
But soon after this Parineeti’s career witnessed a drastic fall in matters of her film. After Ishaqzaade she featured in Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee which were above average affairs at the box office. Then she featured in Daawat-e-Ishq, Kill Dil, and Meri Pyaari Bindu all the three films failed to create any magic at the box office.
Now Parineeti will feature in Golmaal Again, the fourth installment of the successful Golmaal series. Golmaal Again will be a big step for Parineeti as it is a big franchise and has always impressed the audience. Golmaal turns to be a big opportunity for Parineeti Chopra and we hope it helps her to revive her dead career in Bollywood.
