BRING IT ON! It’s Rajinikanth v Salman Khan this EID
We have seen some massive box-office clashes in the past. From Lagaan and Gadar to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay and the most recent one being that of Raees and Kaabil. But, ever heard of two legends and heavyweights clashing together? Well, be prepared to witness one of the biggest face-offs of all time when Thalaiva and Bhai collide on the 15th of June, 2018.
Yes, you heard that right! Rajinikanth and Salman Khan are clashing at the box-office this EID as Rajini’s latest offering before 2.0, Kaala, will reportedly hit the theaters along with Salman’s idea of an Eidi, Race 3.
On one hand, we have one of the most insanely popular and worshiped stars in the country that is Rajinikanth while on the other hand we have Salman Khan, of whom we more often than not do Swag Se Swagat.
However, given the screens we have in the country today, two big films can easily co-exist and do commercially well, especially if the content is engaging.
Having said that, this is the first time Khan will face such a mammoth of a competition as most of his films have been solo releases, especially the ones that have opened on an Eid day.
Ironically, 15th of June, 2018 also marks 11 years of Sivaji: The Boss, a film that quadrupled Rajinikanth’s stardom.
If you ask us, we would happily buy the tickets for both the films, as both Kaala and Race 3 promise to satiate the appetite of the audiences, who enjoy watching such big-screen extravaganzas.
