Bigg Boss 11: Is Salman Khan a FLOP show host?
Bigg Boss 11 has undoubtedly become the most controversial season of the show till date. We have seen Salman Khan having a field day as well with slyly trolling every other contestant from time to time. But, in spite of all that has happened in the house in its first month, the rating of the show seems to be getting lower by the day.
Here’s a closer look at the ratings of the reality show so far:
Bigg Boss season 11 opened up to a rating of 2.9. Although it was considered to be good enough, it was far behind the 4.3 rating that it’s 5th season (which was hosted by Sanjay Dutt). Sanjay Dutt’s opening rating is the highest in the history of the show. After that, season 11 only garnered a rating of 1.6 on weekdays, beating the previous all-time low set by the Amitabh Bachchan-led Season 3, which had a rating of 1.96.
Post the meagre first week, the TV show had come a long way in terms of internal fights and controversies, but yet the ratings never went any higher than 2.3 irrespective of what day of the week it was, which means that the show is getting one of the LOWEST ratings in the history of the show. And remember. We saw someone allegedly performing black magic, a sad ouster of a youth icon from the house, we saw two people faking their identities, one spraying the other with a mosquito repellent and a lot more in between.
So, is that why the show roped in Dhinchak Pooja? Because they saw the future of the show in trouble?
So, we wonder whether if the audience is actually getting fed up of the show? Is Salman Khan losing his charm? Will the show even have a season after this one?
We shall find out!
