Bharat: Is Salman Khan playing a GODFATHER to this actor?
Salman Khan is someone who believes in offering as much help as possible to those who deserve it. If you need proof of that, take a look at the cast members of his most recent films, including Race 3, the slick action flick that is presumably about the enter the post-production stage pretty soon.
And now, it seems like, with his upcoming project, which is Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, the Tiger Zinda Hai actor intends on getting the career of a yet another promising artist off the ground, which is that of ace actor/comedian Sunil Grover
Yes, you know what mean by that! After signing Salman Khan for the titular role, the film got on board the global sensation Priyanka Chopra, and now, the newest addition to the cast is Grover.
Sunil paaji, who was last seen on the big screen in 2016 Blockbuster Baaghi and then shortly after in the unfunny satire on Dawood Ibrahim that was Coffee with D, will now be seen playing a pivotal role alongside Salman in his 2019 release.
Welcoming Sunil Grover to the cast, director Ali Abbas Zafar says, “I am very excited to welcome Sunil Grover to the Bharat family. Sunil Grover is one of the most loved names in the Television industry, he has an immense fan following owing to his commendable work. Bharat has him playing a very pivotal part in the film and he along with Salman Khan is sure to create magic on screen.”
However, one must note that this is not Grover’s first association with Salman Khan, as if we take a small trip down the memory lane, Khan decided to promote his then-upcoming presentation, Tubelight, by shooting a 1-hour special episode with Grover and team, called Supernight With Tubelight, instead of following the norm of making a splash at Kapil Sharma’s show, after taking into consideration how life was shaping up for both Grover and Sharma post their mid-air fallout.
So, we are going to ask ourselves whether having Grover on board is just a mere coincidence or is it Khan’s way of silently being the man with a heart of gold.
Continuing the tradition of releasing his films on the festive occasion of Eid, Khan has booked the auspicious date for his 2019 release titled ‘Bharat’.
The film is touted to have a character-driven story spanning across many periods. Bharat will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bharat’ is produced by Atul Agnihotri’s Reel Life Production Pvt. Ltd and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, which will release on Eid, 2019.
