BHARAT: Ali Abbas Zafar increases Katrina Kaif’s role in the period drama!

Katrina Kaif may have had an inconsequential appearance in the recently released Thugs Of Hindostan, but has two major films coming up in 2019. Salman Khan’s Bharat and Varun Dhawan’s ABCD 3. More on the dance film later, let’s talk about the period drama helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Everyone knows it was Priyanka Chopra who was set to be a part of the film and reunite with Khan after a decade. However, for reasons best known to her, she left the project leaving the makers huffed and puffed.

As fate would have it, she was replaced by Kaif a few days later. She didn’t have a meaty role as it was written for Chopra, but after shooting with the actress, Zafar has now decided to add more meat to her character. A source says, “Earlier Katrina’s part was written and crafted under a certain bracket, as it was written for Priyanka. With film’s shooting still going on, Ali has now increased the graph of Kat’s character. There’s more dialogue, action and drama added to her role which will be very much liked by the audiences. In Bharat, Katrina will have a way bigger role than any of her films.”

The film is an adaptation of the Korean drama An Ode To My Father and is slated for an EID 2019 release.
