Ayan Mukerji opens up on Bhramastra!

Ever since celebrated filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has announced his most ambitious project till date, the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Bhramastra, we have been waiting to see how the film will turn out. Judging by the leaked images from the Dutt biopic, Ranbir has proven that he has no qualms about getting deep into the skin of the character and we wouldn’t expect anything less out of this film as well.

He started speaking up about the project by saying that the cast has come together because “because of the story and theme of the film”

Speaking about his most ambitious project till date, director Ayan Mukerji said, “It’s the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success… I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast.”

While spilling more beans on the project, he said, “I will not be able to give information right now but all I can say is, this film is a modern-day film. It is set in India as it exists today but the name of the film is called ‘Brahmastra‘ because the energy, wisdom, and powers in the film come from ancient India.”

Speaking about working with Amitabh Bachchan for the first time, he said,  “It’s a great honor for me as it would be for any filmmaker to be working with him, in his 75th year especially.

“Ever since this film was conceptualized, I wanted to approach him for the film and make this film with him. So I am very happy that he is part of team ‘Brahmastra‘.”

The fantasy adventure is all set to release on August 15, 2019!
