Arjun Kapoor: We haven’t seen a solo romantic hero who hailed from Bihar

Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor starrer, Half Girlfriend released this Friday and is doing fairly well at the Box Office despite being the not-so-entertaining film that it is. Shraddha plays the role of a high-class Delhi girl while Arjun’s character is completely opposite to hers.

He plays the role of a boy named Madhav from Bihar. Regarding this, Arjun said that the makers of the film have tried to break all the preconceived notions about Bihar and its people through his character.

“Through this film, we have tried to break preconceived notion about Bihar. We always wanted to make sure that people should look at Bihar from a real point of view because, in many films, we see that gangster, politicians, IAS, IPS hail from Bihar, but we haven’t seen a solo romantic hero who hailed from Bihar in recent times.” Arjun said.

“So, it was important that the character I am playing should speak and behave in same way. When we were shooting for the film people kindly supported us and it is always nice to see when people shower their love upon us,” he added.

This Mohit Suri directorial is his second adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel, after Two States. Let’s wait and see how the Box Office reflects on Arjun and Shraddha’s performance!
