Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora to part ways in May!

Estranged couple Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora who announced their separation earlier this year, are finally parting ways. The couple attended a mandatory counselling session at the Bandra court on Tuesday with a marriage counsellor and a judge who have been appointed in their case. Their divorce hearing is scheduled in May 2017. The couple which was married for 18 years will be heading for a divorce by mutual consent and terms of settlement have been kept under wraps.

A source close to the couple said, “During the counselling session on Tuesday, Malaika and Arbaaz spent a few hours talking to the judge and then the counsellor joined in towards the end. Usually a couple is asked to reconsider their decision before they part ways. They are also questioned about why they wish to separate, if they’re doing it on their own will and what would be the monetary and other terms of divorce. The same questions were asked to Malaika and Arbaaz and both of them handled the matter maturely.”

Despite their differences, they have been spotted together at various occasions, the most recent one being their son’s birthday party, with Arbaaz’s entire family in attendance. The divorce did not come in as a shock as Arbaaz and Malaika have already moved ahead with their lives. We wonder what could have been the reason to end 18 years of matrimony!
