Alia turns down a tailor-made role – Here’s what happened…
2016 has clearly been an extra-ordinary year for the star kid Alia Bhatt, the kind of year that has achieved all kinds of peaks and no valleys in the way. She has placed herself as a reliable powerhouse performer! But this newfound stardom by the award-winning actress has caused some collateral damage this year already.
All set for her directorial debut under M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story director Neeraj Pandey, Anvita Dutt was ready to get behind the camera with a freshly-cooked script. Neeraj’s business partner Shital Bhatia’s maiden production house Friday Filmworks was also on board along with Reliance Entertainment. The storyline was developed keeping only one name in mind for the protagonist, which is seemingly obvious by now that it was none other than Alia Bhatt. When the script was pitched to her, she turned it down.
Believing that the movie cannot be done unless Alia agrees to be the lead, the project in question has been kept on hold. This was made clear by Neeraj to Shital, and suggested that it’s time that they take on a fresh topic with a new movie.
In the meanwhile, the award-winning actress might be unaware that she has halted someone’s first directorial venture.
