Alia rejects a film offered by Sanjay Dutt?

After Gauri Shinde‘s directorial ‘Dear Zindagi’ was appreciated by critics and masses alike, Alia Bhatt has been flooded with offers. One such case was of Sanjay Dutt. Dutt is making his comeback to the big screen with Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’. The film is a revenge drama that centers on a father – daughter relationship.

If reports are to be believed, Dutt offered the role of his daughter to Alia Bhatt and the actress turned down the role. Sanjay later turned to Karan Johar who is Alia’s mentor. He asked Karan to convince Alia for a script reading session, but the ‘Student of the Year’ actress is least interested in this project.

Sanjay has been working on ‘Bhoomi’ for the past 6 months, busy finalizing dates and fixing schedules as it is going to be a big budget movie. The film is supposed to go on floors by the end of January, the producer of the film Sandeep Singh said, “We are looking at kicking off the shoot near the Taj Mahal. I called up Maanayata bhabhi and said that if Nargisji (Dutt’s mother) had been alive, I would have requested her to conduct the pooja and give the mahurat clap but since she isn’t with us, I requested her to do it.”

Seems like Alia has gotten a little choosy with who she wants to work with and Dutt doesn’t seem to be one of those people!
