Alia Bhatt roped in to play the feamle lead in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2?

Dostana 2 has been much anticipated ever since Karan Johar announced the sequel after 11 long years of wait. As we all know, the first part of the film starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. Now, the latest development regarding the sequel suggests that Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play the female lead in the film.

As reported by a source close to the film, “The conversation has begun, and Alia has liked the idea. She will hear the final script and close the formalities soon. Casting for her two male co-stars is presently underway after which Karan will make the final announcement. Preproduction on the film has also begun.”

As the male leads are yet to be finalized, we wonder who will step into the shoes of John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. However, Johar has dissed any such news and said there’s nothing true to these rumors. Have a look at his tweet:-

Oops! Then let’s see who happens to be the new heroine of this comedy. Earlier, there were talks about Katrina Kaif coming on board but the idea could never materialize.
