Alia Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt receive death threats
Alia Bhatt is one of the most successful actresses of this generation. Her hard work and films are being appreciation not only by critics but the box office collections of her films speak for itself. But, recently, in a shocking turn of events filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt and Alia have received death threatening calls from an unidentified caller.
The accused reportedly demanded 50 Lakh rupees from Bhatt and threatened to kill his wife Soni Razdan and daughter Alia if he failed to deposit the money in a Lucknow-based branch. The incident took place on February 26. Mahesh Bhatt filed a case at the Juhu police station on Wednesday.
The case has been registered under section 387 (causing a person to fear death or grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion). The police also recorded a statement from Bhatt’s family. Bhatt initially thought that it was a prank call until he started receiving personal and WhatsApp messages warning him not to take threats lightly. The report said, “If you fail to do so, I will fire several rounds of bullets in your daughter Alia and wife Soni.”
