Is Akshay Kumar’s next a Michael Douglas rip-off?

Akshay Kumar surely is Crack!, And NO! we are not calling him names here, but that’s the name of his character in a movie which has been (quite creatively) been named the same. Check out Akki’s poster below

The buzz is, Akki’s character of Crack is inspired by a Hollywood cult classic delivered by Hollywood veteran Michael Douglas, named Falling Down. Seems like someone has seen the potential of this film quite early, given the Michael Douglas movie had been a cult classic back in ’93!

The similarities in the poster are not all that there is to Akki’s next. The protagonist (Kumar) is playing a middle-class man who breaks the laws in frustration. Rings a bell? It might not if the only thing you’ve seen out of Douglas is Last Vegas!

Now, the buzz is since Shah Rukh Khan is releasing his next with Imtiaz Ali around Independence Day this year, Akshay Kumar, who was the first one to claim the slot has reportedly backed out. Yeah, a clash between the two films is nerve-chilling. A third big one in the same month would be terrible.
