Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor to reunite for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi?

Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi is one of the most awaited cop dramas after Simmba. As we all know, the movie will star Akshay Kumar in the lead role. And now, according to the latest news, Akshay’s Pad Man co-star, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, has been roped in to play the lead opposite Akshay in the film.

Earlier, there were reports of getting Katrina Kaif on board. Reportedly, Rohit met Sonam along with his team to discuss the upcoming project and if insiders are to be believed, Sonam might take up the role.  

The project is expected to go on floors by May-June this year and will be a kickass action entertainer. Talking about the film, a source had even told Bollywood Bubble, “There’s hardly any space for a heroine. That’s how most of Rohit’s films are designed except a few. The cop dramas have always had minute roles for all the actresses and it’s a similar case for Sooryavanshi as well.”

On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga opposite Rajkummar Rao has recently released with good reviews. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Karan Johar’s Kesari opposite Parineeti Chopra.
