Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra, who are collaborating for the first time in Anurag Singh’s Kesari, will soon be heading to The Pink City, Jaipur, to shoot a romantic song. Kumar, in fact, he has called it his luckiest city as all his films shot in Jaipur have done well at the ticket windows, be it Sabse Bada Khiladi or Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Given the film is a period drama, the old world charm of Jaipur and the essence of the city would perfectly compliment the mood of the film, thought the makers.
A source also said about the song, “Akshay has been shooting at the helipad at Filmcity, where a a set was recreated after the one in Wai was gutted in a a fire in April 10 days before wrap-up. A lavishly-mounted romantic number is still left to be shot and after considering various cities, the team has finalised Jaipur for it. It will be shot over four days next week and will be choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.”
Talking about the actor’s role, he’ll be essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led an army of 21-Sikh Soldiers against a force of over 10,000 Afghani Tribesmen in the Saragarhi district of the North Western Frontier Province on September 12, 1897. It has been described as The Greatest Battle Ever Fought! The film is all set to release on March 21, 2019!
