Ajay Devgn teams up with British boy-band ‘The Vamps’
Ajay Devgn is leaving no stone unturned to make his most ambitious project till date ‘Shivaay’, the biggest blockbuster of the year. The actor has now collaborated with the British pop-rock boy band, ‘The Vamps’, who recently visited India and made a big splash with their concert.
Talking about the collaboration, Devgn says, “This is my first international collaboration on a musical front. Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, The Vamps, are immensely talented young boys. My Daughter Nysa introduced me to the band as I didn’t know how big they were for the teens.”
The collaboration has been facilitated by Virgin EMI UK and Bottomline Media Pvt Ltd and it is their first partnership with Bollywood.
Tanaaz Bhatia, CEO Bottomline Media Pvt Ltd adds, “It’s our first Bollywood collaboration .The Vamps who are thrilled and energized to be associated with their first Bollywood project, ‘Shivaay’. It’s been a great association with Ajay Devgn Films and vamps are very excited to collaborate with the Indian Mega Star, Ajay Devgn.”
Incidentally, just days before their concert in Mumbai, Ajay had posted a picture of himself and his movie’s composer Mithoon with the boy band, with the caption, ‘Guess where this association is headed?’ The concert was attended by daughter Nysa and his reel daughter Abigail Eames, who had a blast watching their favourite artistes perform live.
They first gained fame in late 2012 with cover songs uploaded to Youtube, leading to comparisons with One Direction and being labeled as a boy band. They were signed to Mercury records in November 2012.
