Is Ajay Devgn going the Salman Khan way?

After the stupendous success that Ajay Devgn has seen this year in the form of Golmaal Again, Devgn saab has begun working on his upcoming cop drama Raid where he has teamed up with his Baadshaho co-star Ileana D’Cruz one more time. Post that, he is supposed to begin working on Total Dhamaal along with the same old Dhamaal gang and the new entrants to the franchise, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

What we also know about Devgn is that in one way or the other, he ends up clashing with one film or the other. I mean, who knows right? Had Secret Superstar not released just a day before the fourth Golmaal film, Devgn’s film could have pocketed about 250 crores, right?

So, in order to lessen the impact of such clashes, Devgn has decided to take over a total of 100 single screens across the country and re-establish them as multiplexes under the name NY Cinemas (which are the initials of his children Nysa and Yug).

Wondering how is this the Salman Khan way? Well, Bhai is also rumoured to be opening a chain of multiplexes which would have, unsurprisingly, be called Being Human multiplexes (Given that how his fans have a tendency to burst firecrackers on his entry, he should definitely take extra care of that!)

A source said, “Ajay will be running these theatres as NY Cinemas, the initials of his children, Nysa and Yug Devgn. One of the theatres he has taken over is Om Palace Cinema in UP’s Hapur. He has also acquired five other cinemas in Raebareli, Ghaziabad, Agra, Phul Khiriya and Allahabad, and plans to take over 100 more screens across India in the coming year. His team is already working on the idea.”

Well, that’s also quite a retirement plan, don’t you think?
