Aiyoo! Sridevi is ANGRY at SS Rajamouli!

Sridevi has recently received a fair amount of negative views ever since people have learned that she dropped off the role of Sivagami in the Baahubali movie franchise (Which was eventually portrayed by Ramya Krishna) after the makers rejected her demand of a massive 6 crores to play the part, which the makers allegedly couldn’t afford.

It’s a no-brainer that the veteran diva had kept mum about it as this whole episode was behind her. But, in a recent turn of events, none other than the director of the magnum opus, SS Rajamouli has made some claims that have really hurt Sridevi and how!

In an interview, Rajamouli claimed that Sridevi had thrown an awful lot of starry tantrums prior to dropping the film, in reaction to which Sridevi expressed her shock by saying ““I was shocked and hurt by his interview. Rajamouli is a calm and dignified person. I was very happy to (have got a chance to) work with him. But, the way he spoke about the issue made me feel very sad.”

To which she added  “People would have sent me packing if I was like that. I don’t know if the producer wrongly told Rajamouli that I made all these demands but it is not in good taste to speak like this.”

Well, it is clear that such a projection of one of the most well-known artists around is surely disheartening,

Rajeev Masand attempted to bring up the topic in a recent interview with her, but instead ended up asking whether she has seen the film, to which she said “No. To be honest, I didn’t see the movie. But I would like to talk about this. It has become such a big issue and people are imagining things [as to why I have said no the film]. I have my own reasons. First of all two parts of Baahubali have come out, and now they are asking me. There are many films, I refused. Why are they not talking about it? Why only this film? I will go there and talk about it.”

If not others, we can let the past be behind us. We should be rather excited to see her in her upcoming film “Mom” opposite Akshaye Khanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Adnan Siddique and Sajal Ali who are playing pivotal roles in the film. Aren’t you?
