After Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut sues THIS Jeweller!

Since the day the world has learned about the (in)famous Nirav Modi scam, we have seen its current but soon-to-be-ex global brand ambassador, Priyanka Chopra seeking legal opinion for ending the contract with the jeweller, who she even allegedly accused of holding back her pay for the recent campaign that she shot for Nirav Modi jewels.

And now, it looks like Bollywood celebrities are going to come out one after the other and wreak havoc at the jewellery industry as Kangana Ranaut and Bipasha Basu, who were previously endorsing Nakshatra and Gili respectively, have accused Mehul Choksi, the head of Gitanjali Gems and an alleged co-conspirator of the Nirav Modi scam, of fraudulent practices.

Fun fact: Choksi happens to be Nirav Modi’s cousin!

With regards to this matter, a spokesperson said that, apparently, Kangana’s dues are pending outside the contract.

As far as Bipasha Basu’s case goes, well, it’s a bit more complex.

She recently texted out a statement to one of the financial portals which reads, “My managers then tried their best to stop Gili from using my pictures post my contractual period… but even though we sent them letters, they continued to use my pictures internationally too, because of which I lost many jewellery endorsements. Post my contract, for a couple of years till now, Gili used my pics even though legally they can’t.”
