5 possible highlights of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic’s teaser
We are yet to know the title of Raju Hirani’s next directorial, which, everyone knows by now, is a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt. As reported, the film will have the biggest teaser launch of all time, available on 80 channels for a period of two days. The film boasts off a spectacular and mammoth cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh, Paresh Rawal, Manish Koirala and Dia Mirza. So before the teaser drops in tomorrow and creates havoc on social media, we check out 5 possible highlights that fans can expect:-
1. Sanjay Dutt’s exit from Jail
After being convicted under TADA in May 2013, Sanjay Dutt was released from jail in February 2016. It’s being touted his actual shot of coming out of the jail will be the first scene of the teaser. This has already got us excited!
2. Ranbir Kapoor- The master of different looks
After donning as many as three different looks in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, this incredibly gifted actor is all set for a similar journey in the biopic. From the early 90’s to the 2000’s, the film will trace the different eras of Sanjay Dutt’s career, with Ranbir in all drastically different avatars. Can’t wait!
3. No women in the teaser
Apparently, the teaser will focus entirely on Ranbir Kapoor and give us a glimpse of his striking resemblance to Sanjay Dutt. However, after seeing some of the images that splashed on the internet last year, we won’t be surprised to see a Sanjay Dut doppelganger.
4. Ranbir Kapoor himself
Despite a rough patch at the ticket windows in the last two years, with major misfires like Besharam, Roy and Bombay Velvet, Ranbir Kapoor is still one galvanizing performer to look out for, who burns like fire even when his films extinguish like a candle. And after his terrific performances in Tamasha and Jagga Jasoos, we are assured he’ll push the envelope in terms of acting with this film as well.
5. Raju Hirani
There’s a saying that a director is the captain of the ship, and when the captain is Raju Hirani, you know the ship is in safe hands and won’t meet a catastrophic end. Gifted with the ability to create tender and magical moments on the screen that can melt even the harshest of hearts, Raju Hirani, we can bet, may have made something spectacular this time around as well. With what we have heard about the biopic, the film is all set to be a roller-coaster of emotions, from comedy to romance to heartbreak.
Arriving at the cinemas on the 29th of June, 2018, Sanjay Dutt’s biopic could put Ranbir Kapoor’s career back to the pedestal.
